Meet Darlene
Founder of Hartmann CFO, LLC | CPA | Personal CFO | Organizational Consultant

Darlene Hartmann launched her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, auditing some of the firm’s largest clients. She then joined Harbert Management Corporation (HMC), a multibillion-dollar family office providing funding for the family business and operating as an investment management company, where she supported its growth from $600 million to $3 billion in assets under management. There, she gained firsthand experience navigating tax operations, performance reporting, and the entity structure of a growing family enterprise.
She holds an active CPA license in Alabama and has reciprocity in Colorado. Darlene’s experience spans private fund structure and reporting, complex financial modeling, accounting, and tax-aware advisory. She’s known for catching what others miss and for ensuring the work actually gets done with accuracy and timeliness. Her ability to bridge detail and strategy helps families cut through complexity and make timely, informed, and aligned decisions with confidence.
